Cisco Live 2012

It was great to see existing customers come by our booth at Cisco Live 2012 and start advocating our products to other users nearby. One of the most common phrases we hear at the booth from current customers while pointing at our products “That thing saved my bacon”.

New Features


RANCID Console Server Technical video overview of RANCID integration
RANCID is a popular open source package for backing up and tracking changes to configuration information on a range of network equipment. This video describes work we have been doing to integrate RANCID with Opengear products. This will support RANCID management of Opengear devices and also, and more importantly, out-of-band management of devices like Cisco routers through a remote serial console.
Interop NYC Cisco USB console support
With V3.5.3 firmware (and later) ACM5000, ACM5500, IM4004-5 and IM4200 family console servers can provide direct connection to the USB console port on one or two Cisco devices. This is in addition to the traditional RS-232 serial console port connectivity.
