Opengear Releases Affordable KVM-Over-IP Switch that Delivers Secure Remote and Local Server Management Access

Opengear (, a leading provider of next generation console server solutions, today announced the IP-KVM1001, an affordable palm-sized KVM-over-IP solution aimed at branch offices, labs, web hosting providers and data centers..

    • Cost effective ‘Zero U’ device for KVM control ‘at the rack’ or remotely over IP.
    • Provides full control of systems during boot up, BIOS maintenance or server/OS lock-ups.
    • Browser-based with strong encryption and authentication, no client software required.
    • Universal connectivity for USB and PS2 interfaces in one unit.
    • Virtual Media support for transferring files and installing patches and upgrades over IP.
    • Serial port for serial console access to switches, routers, firewalls, or an external modem for out-of-band access.
