Cisco Live 2012 – Opengear saves your bacon
Wow, what a show! This years Cisco Live US show packed over 17,000 network engineers and systems administrators into the San Diego convention center.
Thankfully we had extra staff on hand to handle the surge. Free drinks on opening night kicked off a frenzy that packed the World of Solutions expo with wall to wall CCNA’s, CCIE’s all armed with light sabers and cold beers. Traffic at the Opengear booth was steady for 4 straight days, even as the show came to close we still had prospective customers viewing our live demo systems and taking in all that our products offer to the Cisco community. The new RANCID support as well as the Cisco USB console support were both big hits among the attendees.
I must admit, it is great to see existing customers come by our booth and advocate our products to other users nearby. One of the most common phrases we hear at the booth from current customers while pointing at our products “That thing saved my bacon”. Thanks to all that came by the booth to learn about our out-of-band appliances, and a special thank you to all of our current customers that dropped by to colorfully evangelize our solutions.
