Opengear Signs CBO to Mine Resources Opportunity
Opengear (www.opengear.com), Mining specialist CBO Telecommunications has joined Opengear’s new partner program, enabling resources companies to benefit from the Australian-designed remote infrastructure management technology.
Brisbane-based Opengear, which has its world headquarters in the US, launched its Opengear Certified Partner Program last month, establishing a single-tier model to provide partners with deal registration, discounted demonstration kits, training and market support.
CBO Telecommunications, which is also from Brisbane, specializes in designing and implementing end-to-end connectivity solutions in challenging environments, especially for mining companies located in remote areas of Australia.
Opengear Sales and Business Development Manager ANZ Brendan Baker said CBO Telecommunications epitomized the high value-add partner the new program was designed for. “CBO will take Opengear remote infrastructure management gear into some of the most demanding and remote parts of Australia,” he said.
“These environmentally and access-challenged conditions are where Opengear’s technology will shine, so it’s a benefit to the miners, to CBO and to Opengear, which is getting access to a new industry sector.”
CBO Telecommunications Managing Director Mark McGregor said the Opengear Certified Partner Program allowed the two companies to team up more effectively to win new business. “The partnership program provides CBO with the opportunity to work more closely with Opengear to tailor-make solutions for our minerals and energy clients,” he said.
“The Opengear kit is robust and proven in industrial and harsh environments which makes it well suited to CBO’s core client base.”View all Press Releases
