Stay up to date with the latest information on network security,
business continuity, and network availability.

Opengear (www.opengear.com), a leading provider of critical infrastructure management solutions through advanced console serversremote managementmonitoring, and cellular out-of-band products, today announced its attendance at Interop Las Vegas (booth #1038) and that it will again play a role as a production network provider and participant in InteropNet’s Network Operations Center, which now features an InteropNet-powered SDN Lab for testing the interoperability of software-defined networking systems.

The InteropNet network delivers high-speed connectivity and unique opportunities for attendees to better understand technology, demonstrating how vendors across the industry can collaborate in designing and deploying a converged network. The InteropNet network supports the Expo Floor, conference sessions, and the event’s wireless access, with a stated goal of 100% reliability and zero downtime. To meet that objective, Opengear is providing its resilient Failover to Cellular™ and Smart OOB™ technologies for uninterrupted network continuity.

Launched in November 2014, Opengear’s Failover to Cellular™ technology provides automatic failover to high-speed 4G LTE or 3G cellular connections when primary network connections break down, ensuring always-reliable availability for remote networks. With network uptime more critical for businesses than ever – and with interruptions due to simple network faults often causing damaging losses of revenue, productivity, and reputation – uptime-dependent industries like retail, banking, and healthcare know that connectivity is a fundamental requirement of business operations.

Additionally, Opengear provides capable out-of-band management with Smart OOB™, enabling remote access, troubleshooting, and remediation to minimize disruption and deliver always-on resilient connectivity. Opengear’s cellular approach differs from landline-only based solutions, which are more vulnerable to factors that often cause main line outages (such as natural disasters, downed lines, and human error). Attendees at Interop Las Vegas will be able to experience live implementations and try for themselves Opengear’s solutions for the reliable management of remote site infrastructure.

“The InteropNet is glad to have Opengear’s solutions supporting the show again this year,” said Glenn Evans, Lead Architect of InteropNet. “We look forward to Opengear’s demonstrations of their new technologies – and I’m sure do our show attendees and the other SDN Lab participants do as well.”

“This is our fifth consecutive year coming to Interop Las Vegas, and we’re showing up with products and updates worthy of that anniversary,” said Todd Rychecky, VP of Sales Americas, Opengear. “Resilience is the name of the game when it comes to network connectivity solutions. With Failover to Cellular™ and Smart OOB™, we’re equipping businesses with a new level of dependability, which ensures they’ll be saved time and money when network outages inevitably occur, not to mention peace of mind all year round.”

Interop Las Vegas takes place April 27 through May 1 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
