As 2025 wraps up, we’re looking back at some of the moments that defined another strong year for Opengear. From product innovation and research to global collaboration and team milestones, these are five highlights (in no particular order) that capture how we continued advancing network resilience this year.
Advancing Product Innovation
Opengear continued to push the boundaries of network resilience in 2025 with innovations designed to make resilient connectivity simpler and smarter.
The launch of the CM8100 Series expanded the capabilities of our console server line, giving enterprises even greater scalability and security for managing critical infrastructure. Built for modern, distributed networks, the CM8100 underscores our commitment to providing smarter, more flexible ways to maintain always-on access to remote environments.
This focus on innovation extended beyond hardware, with the introduction of new service levels that enhance the customer experience from deployment through ongoing support. With defined SLA-backed tiers, customers can more easily choose the coverage and support that best fit their network needs.
Together, these developments reflect our ongoing evolution, combining cutting-edge engineering with customer-first support to keep networks connected and operations moving forward.
Advancing Industry Knowledge with New Research
In 2025, Opengear published two major research reports that explored where network management is heading next.
Our report on AI-driven network management examined how automation, data privacy, and bias mitigation are shaping tomorrow’s network operations. Later in the year, our report on data center resilience took a closer look at the evolution of cloud and edge security, infrastructure reliability, and emerging data center technologies.
Together, these studies sparked important conversations across the industry, helping IT leaders think more strategically about the balance between innovation and resilience.
Few events capture the energy of the networking community quite like Cisco Live, and Opengear was proud to be part of it once again this year. At Cisco Live in San Diego, our team showcased Lighthouse®, demonstrated how organizations can manage complex networks with clarity and confidence, and connected with customers and partners across the industry. It was also a valuable opportunity to show how the Network Resilience Platform continues to evolve to meet the demands of distributed environments. Throughout the year, we also participated in Cisco events around the world, including the Cisco Connect series, Cisco Live Melbourne, and Cisco Live Amsterdam, connecting with customers, partners, and peers across the networking community. Strengthening collaboration has always been core to Opengear’s growth, and this year brought new opportunities around the world. In Saudi Arabia, we teamed up with Ingram Micro for a multi‑city partner roadshow, engaging regional resellers and highlighting our network resilience solutions in collaboration with a leading distributor. At the same time, we expanded our partner ecosystem through the refreshed Partner Program, offering resellers, integrators, and service providers stronger margins, ready-to-use assets, and a clear value proposition for our products and services. These events underscored our global momentum and our commitment to building trusted relationships that advance network resilience everywhere. 2025 also gave the Opengear team the chance to step back, connect, and collaborate face-to-face. During our Global Sales Meeting, we visited the worldwide headquarters of our parent company Digi International in Hopkins, MN. There, teams from across the globe gathered for four days of planning, brainstorming, and sharing ideas for what’s next, kicked off by inspirational opening remarks from Digi President and CEO Ron Konezny and Opengear President and GM Patrick Quirk. It wasn’t all meetings, though. Team dinners gave everyone a chance to unwind and celebrate shared successes. At Green Acres, a beautifully restored barn, we took part in a team-building event, assembling bicycles for Bikes 4 Kids, a nonprofit that provides them to local children in need. This exercise brought our mission of connection to life in a different way. Another dinner brought the team to downtown Minneapolis’ Mill City Museum, where we enjoyed tours, views, great food, and even better camaraderie. Moments like these remind us that behind every product launch and customer success story is a team dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and resilience. From product innovation to global collaboration, 2025 reinforced what drives Opengear every year: a commitment to resilience and the customers who rely on it. Whether through new solutions, expanded support offerings, or stronger partnerships around the world, each milestone reflected the same goal: keeping networks connected and teams confident. Thank you to our customers, partners, and colleagues for being part of our journey. Here’s to another year of innovation, connection, and resilience ahead.Expanding Global Partnerships
