GSA Schedule contract will expand Opengear resellers’ reach into government and educational organizations

Edison, NJ – May 21, 2018 – Opengear (www.opengear.com), a leading provider of solutions that deliver secure, resilient network access and automation to critical IT infrastructure, today announced that its two largest distribution partners in the United States – Ingram Micro and Synnex – will now offer education and government pricing for Opengear products through the General Services Administration (GSA) contract vehicle.

With this announcement, resellers serving education and/or government customers at the federal, state, or local levels will be able to purchase Opengear’s solutions for managing IT infrastructure off of the GSA Schedule. These resellers can then provide Opengear products to eligible customers as part of their GSA contracts.

The availability of GSA pricing for these organizations deepens Opengear’s reach within the public sector and strengthens its channel program by enabling more customers to procure Opengear products through resellers and distributors. Now, education and government entities at all levels that require the resilient network connectivity and out-of-band features that Opengear’s products provide – including Smart OOB™ technology for intelligent out-of-band access and Failover to Cellular™ for transparent failover and failback for uninterrupted network uptime – can more easily and affordably put these solutions into place. All Opengear products are also fully compliant with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA).

“Opengear’s solutions are vital to network connectivity and continuity for organizations across industries – and those in the education and government sectors are no exception,” said Bryan Keepers, Channel Sales Manager – Americas, Opengear. “We have a proud history providing our diverse product line and capabilities to these public sector entities through distributors and resellers, and this GSA pricing through Ingram Micro and Synnex will only expedite that penetration.”
