State of the art IM7200 infrastructure management solution picks up award at UK’s prestigious networking industry awards

Slough, UK – March 28th, 2018 – Opengear (www.opengear.com) a leading provider of solutions that deliver secure, resilient network access and automation to critical IT infrastructure, today announced it has won the prestigious ‘Hardware Product of the Year’ at the Network Computing Magazine 2018 awards for its Opengear IM7200, infrastructure management solution.

The IM7200 streamlines remote management of network, server and power infrastructure in data centre and remote environments, ensuring business continuity with always-on secure and reliable access.  Available in a range of models offering between 8 and 48 ports, the next generation IM7200 combines Smart OOB™ out-of-band management with Failover to Cellular™ and delivers proactive monitoring and remediation.

The awards, presented by Network Computing magazine, recognise exceptional achievement and innovation within the networking industry over the last year. The Network Computing Awards judging panel takes into consideration votes from readers of Network Computing Magazine and customer feedback and are intended to give industry-wide recognition to the technology, tools, solutions and products at the forefront of the evolving technology market.

“We’re thrilled to win such a prestigious award, recognising the value that our infrastructure management solutions bring to the network engineering community,” said Steve Cummins, VP of Marketing for Opengear. “The IM7200 provides unparalleled access and management capabilities to critical network devices, and when combined with the new Lighthouse 5 platform, offers centralised management of those devices across multiple data centre and remote locations.”

The recognition follows a recent review of Opengear’s Lighthouse 5 solution in Network Computing Magazine, which stated that “Today’s security conscious businesses simply cannot permit unmanaged OOB access to critical devices. Lighthouse from Opengear provides the perfect solution”.
