External 4G/5G Antennas for Out-of-Band Management - Opengear

External Cellular Antennas

OEM-Validated External Antennas for Every Real-World Environment

Your out-of-band (OOB) management is only as reliable as the signal it can reach. Metal cabinets, basement data rooms, and RF-shielded facilities all put demands on a cellular connection. That’s why we’ve partnered with Panorama Antennas to offer two OEM-validated external cellular antennas covering 617-6000MHz, designed to extend your reach in tough environments.

Key Features

  • OEM-Validated Pairs easily with your OM1300, CM8100-10G, CM8000 and ACM7000 cellular devices.
  • 4×4 MIMO — Four independent antenna elements deliver more throughput and more resilience.
  • IP66 / IP65 Rated — Qualified for exterior mounting without an additional enclosure.
  • Flame-Retardant Cable — CS32 and CS30 rated.
  • No Adapters Needed — Standard SMA(m) connector is the same connection as your existing paddle antennas.

How It Works

No adapters, no surprises.

    1. Identify where your Opengear device is installed.
    2. Select the antenna that works best for your environment.
    3. Unplug the paddle antennas and plug in cables from the new antenna. Place the antenna where it gets signal.

FAQs

Any environment where the rack itself blocks signal. RF-shielded facilities use intentional shielding that blocks all wireless before it reaches a standard paddle antenna. Basement and sub-grade data centers present the same problem. The reinforced concrete attenuates cellular signals deeply, especially at cell edge. Fully enclosed metal cabinets create a Faraday-cage effect that shields the antenna before signals ever arrive. In all of these cases, an external cellular antenna for OOB management maintains a reliable out-of-band connection.

Yes. The Panorama Clam (SKU 569061) is specifically designed for fast, toolfree deployment using four disk magnets or 3M VHB adhesive. It’s a strong fit for NOC staging environments where equipment moves frequently and paddle antennas aren’t flexible enough, as well as remote sites where location in the building can make or break a connection.

Both antennas cover 4G and 5G bands. The Panorama DWMM4G-6-60 (SKU 569060) covers 6176000 MHz (4G/5G), suited for permanent installs and long cable runs. The Panorama Clam LPADMM-7-42 (SKU 569061) covers 6984200 MHz (4G/5G NR).
